Design Brief: Design a lamp for a friend or family member.

Dabria and I discussed a lot, about her wants, needs and preferences. However, there was also a lot of listening on my part. After a lot of thoughts in the ideation process, we came to the conclusion that a wall lamp in a wave form would suit Dabria's personality and style. Dabria loves the beach and values the feeling it gives her. Further, we thought it would be a unique and beneficial idea to make the light interchangeable with colours. This will help Dabria set the mood within different tasks she is completing in her room. This lamp will be created out of wood as it also relates to the clients environment of living on large rural acreage.
This lamp is Dabria: my clients ideal lamp. Strengths that this lamp has and its positive attributes include its mood lighting. The mood lighting will aid Dabria in excelling in tasks she undergoes in her bedroom. These tasks involving creativity, getting inspired, thinking hard, or relaxing. Dabria is a very busy and reserved person. This lamp will help her cope with emotions and get in the right mindset. Nevertheless, this lamp gives life to Dabria's goals and wishes of as it is large scale and will light her room with a medium glow. It is personalised to her value that the beach is significant to her which further makers it unique.

An improvement that could be made is that the remote could be a bit more extensive with specific colour keys. Additionally, actually testing it and creating one at its large scale size would of been good to ensure all components work well. My client however, loves the actual lamp overall.
