Week One
Mia and Lucy and I established our theme through ideologies of psychology which we were all intrigued in about phobias. Through using Lucys psychology knowledge, we and her pitch we developed the idea and made it blossom.
Peace is a VR experience which will aid users in helping their fears subside. This happens through real life 360 footage, mediative audio and levels. It would be as though the user is going through this experience from their own eyes and facing this fear; however with the comfort of being in a safe space.
Our Project Approach
We decided as a team to utilise the Scrumban method for our process as it would allocate roles of each individual rather fairly and it an important aspect of it is that if can be adaptable for change.
Week Two
Week two we created wire frames
I created a wireframe for a dark hallway because we thought it could be a good idea to do different fears. But after doing this we decided it would be best to stick to one niche fear and do it well.
Week Three and Four
We filmed our 360 videos for our real VR space. This was Mia, Lucy Kobe and I. We then worked on the audio .
Here are some screenshots of the video we created.
Week Five and Six
There was many challenges within these weeks with technical difficulties and not knowing what softwares to utilise. We adapted the Gantt chart to suit our abilities and underwent a lot of trial and error.
Here was our test video which we created on Unity and put it in a skybox.
This was our final video for our VR in Google Cardboard, providing the user with three different levels, 360 vision and audio.
Week Seven and Eight
We were finalising our prototype and finally figured out how to transport the 360 footage in the right file to Preimiere Pro and used Insta 360 as well. We added audio; mediative sound and piano music on the intervals of the levels. We created GIFs to look. like buttons as we could not create real buttons due to it being on Google Cardboard, and us not be able to create our edit in Unity as we could not export. However I think we did a great prototype nonetheless.
Here is the final prototype video where we demonstrate how it works and looks.
